This type of activity ( hunting, rafting, fishing and trekking ) takes place in Yakutia ( Republic of Sakha ), one of the biggest regions of oriental Russia and includes excursions on foot, on horseback, sailing on special boats, along higher rivers ranking above the Kolyma river.

You can practise fishing, hunting elk, snow sheep and wolf.

Geographical information

The Kolyma river flows through the North-East territory of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia), where the two springs begin
(Kulu and Aljan –Jurjah) on the Verhkolymski mountains into the sea of Oriental Siberia ; along its course it receives 275 tributaries.

The river is 2429 kilometers long and has in its basin many islands.
On the banks of Kolyma stretches out several large towns : these are Sejmchan , Zyryanka , Srednekolymsk city and Cherskij.

Kolyma plays a notebly role in the history of the geographic discovery of oriental Siberia.
The first russian explorers arrived in the Kolyma area in 1740 and were : Semen Dezhnav, Dimitrij Staduhin, Dimitri Zyryan.

It was the last of these who gave his name to the river Zyryanka, and in 1937 to the city Zyryanka, administrative center of the territory Verhnekolymsky, which was created as one of the Island of “Archipelago Gulag“.

The last of the deported left these places in 1956 but the city continue to exists.
Today it consists of about 5000 peoples inhabitants; there is an airport , shops, a big society of navigation that permits essenzial transport, telephonic connection with all the world.
