The TREKKINGWORLD organize journeys that vary from 4 to 5 days and longest from to 16-17 days, in the Gobi desert,
in the mountains of Altai, and the Khovsgol lake , Kharkhorin,, and the capital Ulaan Baatar.

It is also possible to organize personal journeys all over the mongolian territory, depend on the needs of the tourists.
Another alternative to travel for who doesn’t feel sure to face holiday places that are a little out of common, a part from this they are absolutely worth visiting.

USEFUL INFORMATIONS

Mongolia is a vast nation (about five times the size of Italy) which includes different types of territory.

The steppa and desert are dominant in this country, but you can also find mountain ranges higher than 4000 mt , immense grass-land and siberian thick forests.
It's crossed from two timezones and change of a very definite climate between the summer season and the winter ; infact it can reach –50° in the Altai mountains in winter and up to +40° in the Gobi desert in the summer.
However the best period to visit it is from June to September. There are about 1500 km of asphalt in all of Mongolia, in the rest some dust roads and in the major part of cases only tracks in areas completely desert.often without any sure point of reference expecially in the Gobi desert.

To move with public transport is quite difficult, it needs a lot of time because there is often a change in the timetable s, the departures and the arrivals are not always respected. Besides it often happens there aren’t public services to reach the destinations of the tourist.
Bacause of this we suggest that you always ask advice to the experience organize of the sector.
For Mongolia there is no compulsory vaccin before the departure.

In Mongolia there are about 2 milion inhabitants of which 800.000 live in the capital Ulaan Baatar, the others are nomads who move three-four times a year depending on the season. We can understand how is some zones there is a dense population of 0,4 persons for square kilometer and how difficult it is to move in this land without proper and real roads, infact travelling normaly, stopping for to take video, photographs etc, it can take up to 200-250 km on a quite day, also because increasing the kilometers would be very stressfull and tiring, becoming in vain a marathon.
