Information about the route

The hunting of the elk will be in the tundra, in a hilly area which is 150 km north of Zyryanka.

The above mentioned is under sea level by –50 mt to –150 mt, where there are small lakes and for hunting it is necessary to be in good health physically, to be able to walk about 20 km a day and it is possible to spend some nights in a tent outside of the camp base.

The temperature during the hunting period there is from +10° in September to –15° in October.

The accomodation in the hunting area is made up of tents with heating by electrical generator, satellitar telephone for communications with Zyryanka. The meals are prepared by a qualified cook.
The accomodation at Zyryanka are in rooms for two people in a comfortable hotel with meals in the restaurant.

After the arrival at Zyryanka the hunters the same day will be transported by helicopter to the hunting area and the morning of the following day the hunting will begin.

Usually the trophy of the elk varies between 18 to 25 kg, and the probability of catching this animal is about 90 %.
